Learning and teaching are not only important, but defining aspects in the life of Mrs. Rivas. Since pursuing a career in education, her unique approach has been a shining example for other professionals. With a true dedication to sharing knowledge, she continues to educate and inspire countless people inside and outside of the classroom.

Her life has always been been centered around learning. But it wasn’t until discovering her talent as a compelling educator that a career in academia became the clear path. Dedicated to making a difference through education, Sami has raised the bar dramatically not only for professionals in their field, but teachers throughout education.

Personal life and fun things.

An Oregon girl that loves the outdoors. I love to snowboard and do almost anything outside. When the rain is coming down, I find enjoyment in arts and crafts. Coaching as well as playing sports are where my weekends are generally spent.

I joined the United States Navy a year after graduating high school. Words cannot describe the countless events, situations, places and appreciation I have had the honor of experiencing.

Through my travels I met, married, and continue to love my other half deeply. As our family grows, I thrive in giving others the tools, opportunity, and assistance to thrive in their life as well.
